During your hearing aid assessment, we will take the time to understand your hearing, lifestyle and listening needs. We will review the results of your hearing test, discuss any difficulties you are experiencing and explain whether hearing aids could benefit you. If hearing aids are recommended, we will guide you through the different styles and features available, helping you choose the most suitable option.

Hearing aids are available in a range of different styles and sizes to suit different levels of hearing loss, lifestyles and personal preferences. Options include discreet receiver in canal (RIC) hearing aids, behind the ear (BTE) hearing aids and custom made hearing aids that are individually shaped to fit your ear. Many modern hearing aids also include features such as rechargeable batteries, bluetooth connectivity and advanced technology to help improve speech clarity in different listening environments.

Hearing aids can last anywhere between three and five years. Regular cleaning, servicing and maintenance can help keep your hearing aids working at their best and can expand the lifetime. Over time, your hearing may change and newer technology may become available, so your audiologist can advise when it may be time to consider replacing them.

Yes, you are welcome to bring someone with you to your hearing aid assessment appointment. Having a family member or friend attend with you can be helpful, as they can provide support, share their experiences and help you remember any information discussed during your appointment.
